As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Take-Two Sues 3D Realms for 'Duke Nukem Forever' Code, 3DR Denies $30M Buyout

by Judy on May 16, 2009 @ 12:21 p.m. PDT

Duke Nukem will bring his signature brand of babe-lovin’, cigar-smoking, beer-chugging and ass-kicking action as he once again saves the Earth and our babes from hordes of invading aliens.
Hot on the heels of 3D Realms' sudden shutdown last week, Take-Two has sued 3D Realms for failing to deliver Duke Nukem Forever. The associated case documents reveal that Take-Two is suing for the source code and has filed a restraining order to ensure that the code and assets remain secure and "unharmed" before the case goes to trial. Scott Miller, co-founder of 3D Realms, has shot down the rumor that Take-Two offered to buy the Duke Nukem IP for the reported $30 million.
