Interstellar Marines resurrects the old-school tactical FPS. It offers a blend of co-op, role-playing and nonlinear gameplay. You take on the role as an elite soldier who's been chosen to join Project IM, a top-secret military program to protect mankind from the dangers outside our solar system.

‘It’s a tremendous scoop for us to link into the kind of capacity and experience that Shepherd can bring to the table. The message is, Zero Point Software has a strategy, a team, and a product strong enough to attract one of the top guns in the industry, and we are certainly looking forward to working with him,” says Chairman David T. Hansen.

Shepherd has been brought on board to help Zero Point carry through its revolutionary AAA Indie strategy, a games industry business model developed exclusively by the company around its flagship Interstellar Marines franchise. Shepherd says he was especially attracted by the company’s commitment to not only develop innovative products, but also to focus its business profile on the future, rather than the past.

‘The games industry is somewhere similar to where the music industry was before the launch of iTunes. Companies with the muscle and initiative to seize some of the opportunities available in today’s digital communications and distribution, are going to be the companies dominating the industry a couple of years from now. Zero Point Software’s AAA Indie strategy is placed right in this trajectory, and AAA Indie, to me, has the potential to become the Web 2.0 of the games industry,’ Shepherd says.
