'Nuclear Dawn' Announced - Screens

by Rainier on July 10, 2009 @ 8:18 a.m. PDT

Nuclear Dawn offers uncompromising multiplayer action with the deep branching gameplay of a RTS title where not only fast reactions and local knowledge lead to victory, but skill and tactical savviness are decisive too.

Forge your own destiny on the field of battle with every tactical decision, and ensure your faction's survival with each headshot, capture buildings and bring the fight to your enemies' strongholds riding the future's machines of destruction.

The world has changed, it has been swept clean by the winds of change. Do you think you can survive it?

War came at the end of the Nanotech Age. Known simply as The Third, global conflict devastated the world with nuclear, biological and nanotechnology attacks, extinguishing the frail light of mankind's Golden Age.

The Nuclear Dawn came, and it swept all that men knew in its wake, leaving desolate landscapes and desperate survivors behind, sparing no city, town or hamlet, reaping the vengeance of ages on man's works.

The tattered remnants of the race that once ruled the planet gathered under the umbrella of the few surviving military organizations, scrambling for survival on the radiactive crust.

Each of the two major sides blames the other for the conflict, each has a grudge to settle, and as the children of humankind's brightest civilization unsteadily rise to their feet again, they have fratricidal murder in their hearts, and deadly weapons of vengeance in their clenched fists.

The Empire crushes the individuality of its subjects for the greater good. Sporting the largest population centres on the planet, the Empire is a relentless machine of subjugation hellbent on ensuring that no other creed survives the age of the Nuclear Dawn.

The Consortium of Free States, on the other hand, stand for personal freedom and individuality, and highly value their units and troops' lives. They may lack both the numbers and crushing precision of the imperial war machine, but their determination burns brighter than any atomic fire.

The Third never ended. The war of the future is fought by highly skilled elite forces that battle the twisted delusions of their enemies across the world, securing the resources of energy and technological knowledge that their faction needs to survive. This war will only end when one of the two is no more.
