Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is a tactical role-playing game for XBL/PSN where two rival kingdoms stand on the brink of war. In a small town on their border is a simple church orphanage, home to young Tobias Martin. Caught in the tide of battle, Tobias and his comrades enlist to fight for peace — and revenge.

Vandal Hearts takes place on the continent of Sostegaria, where a war is waging between two opposing kingdoms. Driven to defend his homeland, young orphan Tobias Martin recruits his gang of friends to join him in the fight for peace. While avenging loved ones however, the crew faces a threat that is deadlier and closer than they could ever imagine, they face an unstoppable warrior, who wields the almighty Flames of Judgment, and will let no one stand in his way.

Using character customization options, players will experience the cast evolving and adapting to various styles of gameplay as the battles carry on. Vandal Hearts has always been known for its strong and memorable characters and Flames of Judgment is no exception.

Church of Restoration: Sixteen years have passed since the Great War ended and the children left behind have grown up fatherless. In the wake of the devastation, Balastrade's King Everett II partnered with the Church to provide the kingdom's children with homes and education. But the years of charity have taken their toll on Church coffers, and now they accept only the brightest students - much to the resentment of those less fortunate.

Koth's Whip River: Named for the warlord who ruled both Urdu and Balastrade in times of old, this river once brought life to the crops of both nations. Now, much of it lies dry and empty, and tensions run high over competition for what little food remains.

Fort Pelgaius: At the height of the war, soldiers harvested entire forests to build a network of garrisons, from which they defended the surrounding towns. When the war ended, the sudden, severe lack of manpower forced most garrisons to close; some were hacked apart for firewood, while others simply fell apart. Fort Pelgaius, one of the last still standing, now belongs to the bandit lord Kelbrun Hale who strikes at nearby villagers from the walls that once protected them.

Dread Caverns: Centuries ago, the nations of Balastrade, Urdu, and Biruni worked together to build an underground highway called the Path of Unity. Logistical troubles and political tensions brought construction to an early halt, leaving an abandoned web of half-finished tunnels deep beneath the mountains. Too deep, some say, and despite the Caverns' vast wealth, tales of vile creatures and dark spirits keep all but the bravest away.

Timion Vale: The Great war's final battleground. Tens of thousands lost their lives here - and that was before the sudden disaster that wiped out most of the rest. No living souls now venture here, fearing stories of the restless dead.

The Unknown: The mortal world is but one of many realities. In his hubris, Man has dared to pierce the veil and explore "outside." Few return to tell of what they've seen, and those few have always come back gibbering mad. But, as they say, there's a first time for everything...
