'Swords & Soldiers' (ALL) Adds Move Support

Swords & Soldiers is a side-scrolling real time strategy game, in which three distinct factions battle for the powers of the gods.

In Swords & Soldiers, players can acquire resources, assemble armies, thwart enemies and dominate opponents, while earning up to 20 PlayStation Network trophies. As players advance, new modes and minigames will be unlocked. Gameplay is available in single and local and online multiplayer modes. To play online, players can enter Matchmaking Mode at any time. Once a suitable opponent is found, the current gameplay will be paused until the battle is completed. With Matchmaking Mode, there is no waiting to battle and no break in the strategy action.

Additionally, the PC version will feature Steam Achievements and the original cursor based control scheme. Whereas the PlayStation Network version will feature Trophies and a revamped dual analog control scheme.

Now there’s a whole new way to enjoy Swords & Soldiers… because Ronimo Games has added PlayStation Move support in its latest patch! Just connect a PlayStation Move to your PS3 and you will be able to navigate the menus and gameplay using the Move‘s cursor function. You can also mix control schemes on a single PS3 as well as face off against people online with different control schemes. So far the developers have been unable to find any advantage for one over the other, but if you find any, they want you to let them know!

Speaking of balance, they ’ve also done a few small tweaks to the balance between the three factions. Most importantly, Ronimo Games made the Vikings slightly stronger in the endgame and the Chinese slightly slower to start. Hopefully that will result in seeing some Vikings holding their own near the top spots of the rankings as well!

Ronimo Games also changed the trial version of the game. It now includes a few additional, more challenging levels.

Key Features:

  • Strategic console fun like you’ve never seen before!
  • Command Aztecs, Vikings and Chinese in 30 missions!
  • Compete in ruthless online multiplayer matches!
  • Endlessly challenging single player skirmish battles!
  • Play against your friends in split screen multiplayer!
  • Collect tricky trophies!
  • Vibrant HD graphics!
