The PC Gaming Alliance (PCGA) is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to drive the continued growth of gaming on Personal Computers, the world’s most popular platform for gaming. The PCGA provides an open forum where companies can cooperate to develop and promote solutions that drive the PC gaming industry forward, exchange information and views to promote PC gaming, and share promotional activity designed to grow the PC gaming industry. According to the PCGA 2009 Horizons Report, the industry’s most comprehensive analysis of the PC Gaming market, PC gaming software revenue was $13.1 billion, making the PC the highest revenue generating and most prevalent gaming platform in the world
Ployhar has worked in the Graphics and Gaming industry for the past fifteen years and has most recently served as the PCGA’s Data Research subcommittee chair. He is a strategic planner in the Intel Software and Solutions Group responsible for providing guidance in the Graphics and Gaming industries. Ployhar worked for Microsoft for nearly 13 years prior to working for Intel. He is an avid PC Gamer and has been a vocal and outspoken proponent of PC Gaming for many years.
“With the PC Gaming market continuing to rapidly innovate and evolve, I look forward to working with the PCGA board on the strategic choices that face our alliance,” said Matt Ployhar. “I am also very committed and passionate about growing the relationships necessary with our industry and community leaders to ensure the continued momentum and success of PC Gaming worldwide. It has also been a great honor working with Randy Stude whose leadership resulted in the PCGA’s launch in 2008 and accomplishments since that time”
Also announced was the election of Rick Carini as vice-president of the alliance and the re-election of Ritche Corpus and Christian Svensson as treasurer and secretary respectively.

"I am committed to further building the PCGA’s position as the voice of PC Gaming and to helping game developers and manufacturers thrive and prosper in this dynamic industry."
