Playlogic Emerges From Bankruptcy, Focus On Digital Downloads

Playlogic will restart after it was declared bankrupt a few months ago. After a long process led by the curators an agreement was reached on a restart of Playlogic’s activities, as Playlogic Entertainment N.V.

The activities of the new company Playlogic Entertainment NV will mainly focus on digital videogame publishing for Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony platforms worldwide.

Part of the former staff will be re-employed from the 1st of January 2011, and the first titles will soon be announced.

Playlogic will also expand its activities through a foreign subsidiary that focuses on the rapidly growing market of games of chance (Play For Fun and Play For Real) for mobile phones, tablets, and the online market.

Playlogic Entertainment N.V. is in final negotiations regarding the acquisition of a company that is already active within this market. Playlogic will announce more info regarding these new activities soon.

The management will be conducted by Rogier W. Smit and Marcel Noordeloos joins the company as CFO. Chairman of the Advisory Board is Willem M. Smit.

The U.S. listed company Playlogic Entertainment Incorporated (PLGC) is not involved in the relaunch.
