Tropico 3 (Xbox 360)

“We are excited to bring the world of Tropico 3 to a new audience of console players, and do so with our most advanced version of the Tropico series yet,” said Deborah Tillett, president of Kalypso Media USA.  “The addictive and humorous style of gameplay found in Tropico 3 has made a perfect transition to the Xbox 360 and is sure to satisfy even the most power hungry of future dictators.”

Developed by Haemimont Games, Tropico 3 is the true sequel to the original best-seller that lets players take the reigns of a small, but strategically positioned Caribbean island and challenges them to stay in power for more than 50 years.  As the famed El Presidente, players ward off political opposition while choosing to either lead their country into peace and prosperity, or rule their banana republic through fear as a tyrannical dictator.

Tropico 3 includes a robust set of new features, including a powerful new mission editor, an online challenge mode and a new avatar function that allows players to customize their own unique El Presidente.  Once created, the new ruler is free to travel the island giving speeches, issuing edicts and exerting other means of influence.  A comprehensive campaign mode features 18 different missions, while a historical timeline editor, new buildings, industries and infrastructure provide players with a wide array of options for hours of in-depth gameplay.

Tropico 3, rated T for teen, is currently available for both PC and Xbox 360 at retail stores across North America for $39.99.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 (PSP)

Developed by Slant Six Games, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 expands on the team-oriented gameplay first introduced with SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo allowing new ways for players to interact in-game. As SEAL Commander, players will be a part of a 4-man fireteam executing the very latest team-based tactical, stealth and action maneuvers.  For the first time on PSP, players can engage in battle alongside their friends with all-new 4-player cooperative play.

Created with the technical support of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command, the SOCOM series is renowned for its real-world scenarios and attention to detail. The fireteam takes a leading role in SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 as the SEALs embark on a mission to track down and interrogate Alexander Gozorov, a former KGB operative who is believed to be withholding information about a major WMD attack against Western interests. A heightened emphasis is placed on the storyline and character development of the SEALs. For the first time in the series, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 leverages the relationship between the squadmates to help progress the story forward. The story unfolds throughout the campaign as the SEALs discover the truth behind Gozorov and is supported by over thirty minutes of game driven cinematics utilizing the 3rd generation PSP visual engine.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 features a robust single-player campaign with nine customizable campaign missions and a number of new gameplay features including a free-look camera mode, regenerating health and intelligent cover systems. The intuitive new cover system allows members of the fireteam to crouch behind environmental objects and intelligently adjust to the environment to peek over objects and lock on to enemies without being exposed. A full command system is also in place. As SEAL Commander, players have the option to direct their squad members to perform different actions in battle or set up coordinated attacks. Players will unlock gear and weapons as well as earn medals as they complete objectives throughout the campaign. The medals earned during the campaign missions can then be integrated to players' Facebook accounts. Once the campaign missions are completed, players will have the option to go back and replay the campaign missions with new customizable objectives and parameters such as enemy placement, number of squad members or enhanced difficulty modes.

While the SOCOM name has long been synonymous with multiplayer tactical gaming, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 takes it a step further with the introduction of cooperative play. Available in both Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure, cooperative play allows 2-4 players to team up throughout the single-player campaign including co-op orders and quick join. The quick join feature lets players join late or drop out of the match at any time. Co-op orders enable players to give quick commands to their fireteam. Players can hold the circle button to navigate the on-screen menu and command their team to move to certain points on the map, fire at will or use stealth. Eight single-player campaign missions are accessible in cooperative play with the option to replay the missions with new, customizable objectives.

Steinberg, Vice President, Product Marketing, SCEA. "Utilizing the full functionality of the PSP platform, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 delivers a high-quality console experience with rich visual graphics and robust new gameplay features never before seen on the handheld device. Up to 16 players can connect via Ad-hoc and Infrastructure to compete in any of the three classic SOCOM game modes or engage in two new modes, 'Leader Mode' and 'Tug-of-War'. New to the series, 'Leader Mode' lets players designate a squad leader and spawn beside them to help progress to the objective points. Additionally, a new 'Tug-of-War' mode allows teams to capture control points to help dominate the enemy.  Players will have the option to customize their characters and loadouts with gear earned in the story mode, which includes more than 70 weapons and attachments. All weapons come with a varying degree of difficulty, each of which can be customized with different accessories. Players can adjust the scopes, add silencers or mount under or over the barrel attachments to provide extra flexibility in battle. When played in infrastructure mode, competitive multiplayer supports a number of expanded online community features including clan challenges and ladders, voice chat, Twitter stats and character customization.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (NDS)

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is the latest offering in Capcom’s successful Ace Attorney franchise, swapping the courtroom stage for the crime scene and getting to the bottom of cases that will test the skills of eagle-eyed players with challenges developed uniquely for NDS.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth sheds light on the other side of the judicial system by bringing a whole new gameplay dynamic to the world of Ace Attorney. By using Nintendo DS touch pad capabilities, users will guide Miles Edgeworth through various locations, examine and analyze clues, work directly with characters on the scene, find contradictions in suspect statements, and get to the truth by presenting decisive evidence. Miles Edgeworth can also make use of the all-new “Logic” system, in which he chooses two pieces of information out of the various pieces he has collected and “combines” them to discover new information. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth features several lengthy, interrelated episodes that will require players to use deductive reasoning to assist Miles Edgeworth in cracking the case.

As with the intense courtroom battles that have become a staple of the Ace Attorney series, using collected information and confronting suspicious characters, Miles Edgeworth will find the truth.

Miles Edgeworth is the famed rival prosecutor of court-house-dynamo Phoenix Wright, star of the first three Ace Attorney games. Since becoming the youngest prosecutor in the country at the tender age of 20, Miles Edgeworth built quite a reputation for himself by putting away bad guys in short order. However, after several confrontations against Wright, he has changed his approach to seeking the truth. Unfortunately, Wright was only the beginning of his troubles. In Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, the flashy prosecutor in the wine red suit is plagued by a series of deaths that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Miles Edgeworth will take center stage in an exciting suspense-filled drama that requires him to dive into the mysterious world of crime scene investigation.

Nancy Drew: The Model Mysteries (NDS)

As Nancy, players will use their investigative skills to interrogate more than 15 wily suspects across the three mysteries as they attempt to unravel a knot of scattered clues.

Players must complete six mini-games, solve baffling puzzles, search locations, interview evasive suspects and sidestep danger as they hunt for the evil mastermind behind the vicious plots.  Can Nancy identify the perpetrator in time, or will the bride-to-be have to call off the ceremony before someone gets hurt.

From Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island tells the story of two U.S. Marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts in 1954 to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from Ashecliffe, the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

In the Shutter Island game, players take on the role of Marshal Daniels and search Shutter Island to try to find the escaped murderess. As the game progresses players attempt to locate other patients who have disappeared during the hurricane.

Players find clues and messages across seven levels and 20 environments, creating unique interactions with characters from the film. The game also contains multiple mini-games that allow players to decode clues and unlock secret areas of the institution.  The game reflects the plot of the film, while introducing players to new patients and quests inspired by the film.

Shutter Island is a fantastic story, it is perfect for a casual game and we are confident the market will love it as well as the movie,” said Lloyd Melnick, Chief Customer Officer at Merscom.

Shutter Island is now available on Windows PC and is rated T for teen by the ESRB. The game is available on major game portals, including Big Fish Games, Real Arcade, Reflexive.com and iWin.
