'All Points Bulletin' (ALL) Accepting 3rd And Final Closed Beta Sign-ups

by Rainier on March 19, 2010 @ 10:33 a.m. PDT

All Points Bulletin (APB) is an MMO freeform combat and driving-based game. Players must decide which side of the law to abide by, as Law Enforcement who take on the challenge of supporting and safeguarding justice, or as Gangs, who operate against the law and any opposing groups by any means necessary.

APB is a new breed of online game. Set in a persistent living, breathing open-world urban environment where fame and fortune awaits all players. Some players will achieve this by feeding on the city, its people and its businesses…the Criminals. Some will live by a higher code and instead feed on the criminals and their organizations…the Enforcers. This dynamic where players become the core content for other players is one of the many unique features of APB. Its deep, rich customization system provides players with the ability to completely personalize their identity. Looks, clothing, vehicles and even music, all to astonishing detail and quality.

Where will you stand in the battle for control? Discover unforgettable weapons, experience incredible customization and try to survive a frenzied battle for control of the streets.

Realtime Worlds have today laid down the law to all wannabe Criminals and Enforcers looking to get hands-on with APB during the third and final closed beta session. With the beta test already underway, gamers are required to sign up at on the official website where lucky applicants will gain early access to the vibrancy and violence of gangland San Paro.

Incorporating frantic third-person action into a persistent online multiplayer world, APB will offer a whole new perspective on MMO gaming: this is ‘Mass Mayhem Online’. Those fortunate enough to gain access to the closed beta will be able to experience the near limitless customisation and brutal urban combat APB has to offer.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of new players to San Paro in the coming weeks.” said Dave Jones, Creative Director at Realtime Worlds, “As APB enters this final stage of closed beta testing, we’re anticipating a huge surge of interest with gamers from all over the world applying to take part and provide invaluable feedback to the development team preparing us for launch.”

Key Features:

  • APB brings the world to life in an unprecedented way. From characters to clothes to cars to the environment, APB has the best and most complete customization system ever seen in gaming. Every crew can have a unique, custom look from hair and clothing down to the way they walk, talk and the music they play.
  • APB lives and breathes dramatic chases, shoot-outs, busts, escapes and arrests. All of the action is a direct result of Criminals vs. Enforcement gameplay. It is always fresh and unscripted as players face off solely against other players, providing for the most intense and original action.
  • Both Criminals and Enforcement will continuously attempt to capture key areas of the city and expand their spheres of influence. By capturing turf players will have access to the best items and equipment, while persistently displaying their owner’s status and symbols.

All Points Bulletin (APB) is scheduled to come to PC in North America and Europe March 2010.
