'Splinter Cell: Conviction' (ALL) Co-Op Sneak Peak Event At GameStop

by Rainier on March 19, 2010 @ 3:10 p.m. PDT

Sam Fisher teams up with Third Echelon to help Anna Grimsdottir, Sam's former intelligence gathering operative, who is in trouble. When Sam Fischer is being fed bogus intel and supplied with wrong equipment, he turns on his former employer, realizing the threat comes from within Third Echelon.

An investigation into his daughter's death unwittingly leads former agent Sam Fisher to discover he's been betrayed by his prior agency, the Third Echelon. Now a renegade, Fisher finds himself in a race against time to thwart a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions.

Uniting revolutionary gameplay enhancements with a high-octane, no-holds-barred storyline, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction arms you to the teeth with all the high-tech weaponry and lethal skills of an elite operative and invites you to enter a dangerous world where justice means making your own rules.

Unleash the ferocious skills of renegade agent Sam Fisher and uncover a deadly terrorist plot in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction. Based on its acclaimed values of tension and top-notch realism, Conviction re-invents its own standards by offering a unique mix of stealth action and spectacular gameplay.

Conviction is a story of how elite government agent, Sam Fisher, turned the bitterness of his past into the fuel to drive his quest for answers. For years, Fisher has been off the grid and on his own, chasing his daughter's murderer. But the trail leads him to Washington D.C. – the last place he ever wanted to see again. Now Sam must stand against vast, faceless enemies and battle the corrupt government agency that made him into the merciless warrior he's come to be. Free from constraints, he must now outwit, outmaneuver, and outgun his enemies to get what he's seeking: the truth. You've never played a Splinter Cell like this before.

Celebrating the upcoming launch of this game, the Premiere event will be held at Les Deux Nightclub in Hollywood, California while ten other first-to-plays will take place in GameStop locations across the country. Featuring first-to-play co-op gaming sessions for Splinter Cell fans and celebrities alike, these events are the perfect time and place for Splinter Cell fans to get their Sam Fisher fix before the game hits store shelves on April 13, 2010.

Splinter Cell fans in the Los Angeles area are invited to participate in first-to-play sessions from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. PST prior to the celebrity red carpet Premiere event beginning at 8 p.m PST. The Premiere will feature the “Search for Sam Fisher,” a live interactive game pitting attendees against each other in the search for Sam himself. Fifteen attendees (21+) at the L.A. co-op gaming event will be chosen to participate in the search and one lucky grand prize winner will win the ultimate gaming grand prize featuring the Xbox 360 Splinter Cell Conviction Special Edition Bundle and a library of Ubisoft Xbox 360 games.

Concurrent with the Premiere, GameStop is hosting first-to-play co-op demo events at 10 store locations nationwide from 9:00 p.m. to midnight on April 1, 2010, in Boston, Orlando, New York City (two locations), Denver, Chicago, San Francisco, San Jose, Dallas and New Jersey. Attendees will be the first-to-play with the GameStop exclusive in-game SPAS-12 suppressor shotgun and have the opportunity to win Xbox and Ubisoft prizes, including Xbox Live Gold memberships and copies of Splinter Cell Conviction.
