'Patchwork Heroes' (PSP) Demo Coming Today - Screens

by Rainier on March 3, 2010 @ 12:32 p.m. PST

Patchwork Heroes puts the fate of a city in your hands as massive warships threaten innocent citizens. Come to the people’s defense by dismantling each level’s warship quickly before the ships can strike. Rescue trapped comrades along the way by releasing them from their confines.

Act fast or each ship will quickly close in on its victims in a matter of minutes. You can defeat each ship by cutting through its parts and chopping it down to size so that it can no longer fly. To make things tougher you’ll have to stop the enemy’s repair workers from fixing the damage you’ve made mid-flight, all the while dodging enemy fire on board. Once you’ve cut down a warship to a certain size it will no longer able to fly and the city will be saved.

You play as Titori, the squad leader of a rag-tag airborne demolition team tasked with defending your small town from an armada of flying battleships. Out-manned, out-gunned, and OUT OF YOUR MIND, you must drop in on these mechanical behemoths and dismantle them piece by piece with nothing more than your hammer, saw, and keen insight on destruction. To make matters worse, these juggernauts are defended by robotic insects bent on taking you out and keeping their ships flying. Fortunately for you, there are a variety of power-ups to make your job easier: among them, bombs to take out hard points and a clock stopper to freeze time and bypass enemies.
