RakNet developers may now access the Steam servers without additional programming, avoiding the need for developers to run their own servers for lobby and connectivity services.
Natively integrated features are:
- Lobby and room matchmaking
- Network address traversal connectivity
- Use of Steam servers for forwarding traffic
The integration code is freely available with the latest RakNet release, compilation and use of the integration code requires access to the Steamworks SDK, available from Steamworks@valvesoftware.com.
