Spring is the season to give your home a good cleaning and a great time to get an overall fresh start. Now, you can spring clean and do a good deed at the same time. Donate Games has teamed up with Orange County The UPS Store locations and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire to promote the inaugural “Spring Cleaning for a Cause” game drive.

Donate Games, a charity that helps children fighting rare and neglected diseases through the donation and selling of used video games, has teamed up with Orange County The UPS Store locations and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire to promote the inaugural “Spring Cleaning for a Cause” game drive. Throughout the month of May, the public is invited to donate used video games, game consoles and game peripherals at participating The UPS Store locations in Orange County, Calif.

“Donate Games is honored to have the support of The UPS Store and the Make-A-Wish Foundation as we continue our fight against time to find cures to rare orphan diseases impacting more than 20 million Americans and families around the globe,” said Jim Carol, Founder and CEO of Donate Games. “Together, we hope to unite the community and change lives through the ‘Spring Cleaning for a Cause’ game drive. Families everywhere can make a difference simply by turning in unwanted or used video games at accessible drop-off locations across Orange County.”

Committed to helping those who suffer in isolated pockets, one video game at a time, Donate Games has found a way to let people make a profound impact on the world. The non-profit organization is dedicated to funding research for orphan diseases and supporting those affected by them through the donation and resale of used video games.

Eager to inspire video gamers throughout the Southland to clean out closets and donate, The UPS Store will be accepting donations throughout the month of May. There are more than 70 locations across Orange County, ensuring easy and convenient donation options. Check with your local The UPS Store location to confirm participation.

Additionally, select high schools and universities that currently support Make-A-Wish will be participating in the “Spring Cleaning for a Cause” campaign by collecting games at campuses throughout Orange County.

Proceeds collected from the sale of the games will benefit children with rare orphan diseases. To learn more about “Spring Cleaning for a Cause” or Donate Games, please visit www.donategames.org.
