Digital distribution platform Impulse celebrates its second birthday by announcing that customers will be treated to 15% off catalog selections Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Customers will be treated to 15% off catalog selections Wednesday and Thursday of this week using coupon code Impulse-Bday

As Impulse traverses into its third year this summer its new developer technology, ImpulseReactor, is set to debut this summer when Stardock launches its long-awaited strategy game, Elemental: War of Magic. ImpulseReactor is a library designed to streamline features such as matchmaking, achievements and help protect the brand IP of a game. The ImpulseReactor library is free to developers and does not require the installation of the Impulse client – making it the only vendor-neutral library of tools available to developers.

“The growth of Impulse has exceeded our expectations exponentially,” said Brad Wardell, CEO and president of Stardock. “In the past two years we have heard time and time again about the death of PC gaming, but the growth of Impulse has proven that a viable and profitable PC gaming market is alive and well.”

Impulse easily allows users to purchase their game and then immediately download and install the game through the robust Impulse client.  Impulse also seamlessly manages updates, provides community features including ImpulseTV, which allows fans to check out videos and commentary from the seasoned Impulse publishing staff, and much more. Games become part of the individual user’s account, which means a user can simply re-download the Impulse client, logon to their account and re-download all their purchases, even years into the future on a completely different PC.
