F1 2010 (PS3/X360/PC)

In F1 2010 gamers will take on the full, expanded grid in a variety of game modes including GRAND PRIX, Championship, Time Trial and an extensive, innovative Career mode. F1 2010 will also feature a highly advanced damage model, fully dynamic weather system and extensive competitive multiplayer options.

As the official game of the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, F1 2010 will include all of the official teams, drivers and circuits from the coming season. F1 2010 will feature the return of seven times FORMULA 1 Drivers’ World Champion Michael Schumacher, the introduction of several new teams, and the brand new Korean International Circuit that will host the 2010 Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix.

In F1 2010 gamers will take on the full, expanded grid in a variety of game modes including Grand Prix,  Championship, Time Trial and an extensive, innovative Career mode. F1 2010 will also feature a highly advanced damage model, fully dynamic weather system and extensive competitive multiplayer options.

In production at Codemasters Studios Birmingham, F1 2010 is being developed using the EGO Game Technology Platform, Codemasters’ proprietary tech that powered the critically acclaimed, million-plus selling Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and Race Driver: GRID. The technology has been further developed to accurately recreate the unique aerodynamics and handling of 200MPH+ Formula One cars. The tech combined with Codemasters’ unprecedented access to FORMULA ONE teams and drivers will ensure that F1 2010 delivers the most authentic Formula One racing experience yet.

Civilization V (PC)

Civilization V takes this definitive strategy game series in new directions with the introduction of hexagonal tiles allowing for deeper strategy, more realistic gameplay and stunning organic landscapes for players to explore as they expand their empire. The brand new engine delivers a spectacular visual experience that brings players closer to the Civ world than ever, featuring fully animated leaders interacting with players from a screen-filling diplomatic scene and speaking in their native language for the first time. Wars between empires feel massive, as armies dominate the landscape and combat is more exciting and intense than ever before. The addition of ranged bombardment allows players to fire weapons from behind the front lines, challenging them to develop clever new strategies to guarantee victory on the battlefield. In addition to the new gameplay features debuting in Civilization V,an extensive suite of community, modding and multiplayer elements will also be available.

Sid Meier’s Civilization V is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) by the ESRB and is available today on the PC for $49.99. Additionally, the Sid Meier’s Civilization V Digital Deluxe Edition is available at participating digital distribution sites for $59.99, and the Sid Meier’s Civilization V Special Edition is available at select outlets for $99.99.

Red Dead Redemption Liars and Cheats Pack (PS3/X360)

Red Dead Redemption takes a journey through the vanishing 20th century American frontier through the eyes of former outlaw John Marston. Alongside the rich, immersive single-player experience, Red Dead Redemption’s multiplayer offers a world of dynamic challenges, and competitive games suited for a player of any skill level.

“The Liars and Cheats Pack gives players a lot more of what they love about Red Dead Redemption,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “By building out Free Roam even further and continuing to offer new competitive multiplayer modes, we’re ensuring our community always experiences an open world that’s vibrant and alive with fresh content.”

The Liars and Cheats Pack (requires a copy of Red Dead Redemption) now includes the previously announced Free Roam Pack. With content for both competitive multiplayer and Free Roam, the add-on pack features a wide array of new gameplay mechanics, weapons and locations, including:

  • Stronghold Competitive Multiplayer Mode – team-based mode where each team takes turns attacking and defending a landmark before the clock runs out;
  • The Explosive Rifle – brand-new destructive weapon with its own single-player and multiplayer challenges;

The Explosive Rifle also brings its deadly devastation to the single-player campaign of the hotly anticipated Undead Nightmare Pack. Also coming to the Undead Nightmare Pack arsenal, is the Legends and Killers Pack’s lethal projectile Tomahawk. Both weapons will be available in the Undead Nightmare Pack exclusively to those who have downloaded the Legends and Killers Pack and the Liars and Cheats Pack.

The Liars and Cheats Pack, rated M for Mature, is available now in North America and Europe for download on both PlayStation Network ($9.99) and Xbox Live (800 Microsoft Points).

Club Penguin Game Day! (Wii)

Based on the environment, characters and storylines of the popular online playground Club Penguin, Club Penguin Game Day! includes a range of single and multi-player sports and performance events designed to challenge and engage every member of the family.

“There are lots of parents who want to experience what their kids have come to know and love about the virtual world of Club Penguin, but it’s easier to gather everyone in the family room than around the computer in the home office,” says Lane Merrifield, co-founder of Club Penguin and executive vice president of Disney Online Studios. “With Club Penguin Game Day!, we hope to give families new ways to connect, be active and have fun together.”

Another feature lets players transfer their customized penguins via their Wii Remote™ to a friend’s Wii for use in game play. Once back on the original console, high scores, coins and customization items earned will merge with the player’s profile.

In the Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue game, players can team up with familiar fairy friends to go beyond Pixie Hollow in order to bring summer back to the English Countryside, where the game takes place. The DS game offers all new adventures and exciting ways to connect with the Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow online virtual world. For the first time ever, players can unlock exclusive items, create fairy avatars, and send postcards to their fairy friends in Pixie Hollow, all of which create an interconnected experience between the virtual world and the DS game.

“This franchise provides a unique opportunity for us to connect different platforms together in an innovative way for consumers,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president, Disney Interactive Studios. “By offering Disney Fairies fans new ways to connect across multiple devices, we’re creating immersive digital experiences that further enhance their Disney Fairies experience.”
