Gazillion Entertainment announced that David Brevik has been promoted to President and COO of the company. David served as President of Blizzard North for seven years and was responsible for creating Blizzard’s Diablo series.

David Brevik has been a game industry innovator for nearly two decades and most recently served as the Studio Director and project lead for Gazillion’s highly anticipated Marvel Universe game. Among his many leadership roles, he was Project Lead, Design Lead and Lead Programmer on both Diablo and Diablo II while at Blizzard Entertainment. David also engineered and launched Blizzard’s online gaming service, Battle.Net, and was involved in key initiatives spanning multiple game and technology projects at Blizzard Entertainment, including World of Warcraft.

Jeff Lind was named as Vice President and Studio Head for Secret Identity (formerly Gargantuan), the wholly owned Gazillion Entertainment studio developing Marvel Universe. Prior to joining Gazillion Entertainment, Jeff was a Director of Development for several projects at Electronic Arts as well as the Director of Engineering for Turbine West. He was most recently the Senior Development Director of Marvel Universe.

Gazillion Entertainment also recently added Dan Fiden to its executive team. As VP of Publishing, Dan will be driving the company’s focus on digital development and distribution. Dan has been in the digital gaming space for over ten years, previously as the Managing Producer for Game Development at Electronic Arts’ Pogo division and most recently as General Manager of Playfish San Francisco.

“Gazillion is committed to developing top-tier online games,” said Mr. Brevik. “The future will be defined by console quality games in the web browser, and we believe we can make this a reality today.”

Rob Hutter, Gazillion Entertainment’s founder and CEO, commented: “David is one of the foremost game development talents in the industry. We’ve benefited enormously from the creative and technical leadership he has brought to Gazillion, and we’re very pleased that he will be stepping into this key companywide role.”
