by Rainier on Nov. 10, 2011 @ 12:00 a.m. PST

Dragonica is a free-to-play, cartoon side-scrolling, micro-transaction-based casual MMO mixing elements of action and arcade.

Dragon Saga, re-launched October 28th, 2010, is free-to-play and players may choose to pay for additional content and features on a micro-transaction basis. Barunson Interactive spent seven years developing Dragonica, which brings cartoon side-scrolling action online games to a new peak. The game’s totally 3D rendering design, fresh cartoon characters and scenery modeling, create a new visual perception of side-scrolling games. Dragonica skillfully mixes the elements of action and arcade, and creates various ultimate skills to enhance playability.

Dragon Saga offers features that will surely capture your gaming senses. The game offers a whole new level of combat system wherein you can perform chain attack combinations paired up with humorous skills that are easy to learn but difficult to master. Community functions such as guilds, parties, marriage system and a lot more will encourage interaction between players. You can also acquire different pets that can be used as mounts or battle assistants and have your own house which you can furnish and decorate. A crafting system will also be available to all 4 character classes which will further evolve into more than 28 different classes. Dragon Saga combines fun, humor, extensive content and innovative gameplay.

The monsters of Dragon Saga are getting stronger with their new found elemental attributes but the Dragon Fellowship are preparing their warrior’s armors and weapons, to allow them to wield the power of the elements to fight off the hordes. Socket your armor, socket your weapons, you decide how you control the elements, in the latest Dragon Saga expansion: “New Origins: Phase 2” to be released on November 15th, 2011!

The New Origins: Phase 2 expansion will introduce heroes to the Socket Card Exchange, which will allow players to add Elemental attributes to their armor and weapons. This will give heroes an all new way to boost their characters in combination with the Enchanting and Soul crafting systems. Heroes aren’t the only ones getting the attribute system however, several of the bosses and other monsters will also be getting an elemental makeover. So heroes will have to stay on their toes to combine the right attributes to turn the tides of combat in their favor.

Together with the Elemental Attribute System comes:

  • New Dungeons
    • Red Fox Delta & Spirit Dungeon
  • New Monsters
  • New Armors & Weapons
  • F6 and F7 Mission map updates
  • PvP Changes

And more!

Dragon Saga (formally Dragonica Online) will be going into commercial launch October 28th, 2010.
