'Marvel Super Hero Squad' (ALL) DLC Adds New Freeplay Level, Lets You Be A Villain

by Rainier on March 8, 2011 @ 1:02 p.m. PST

Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet has players using their super powers and super smarts to battle Doctor Doom’s Lethal Legion and search out the locations of the six lost Infinity Stones.

Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet continues the excitement of the original Marvel Super Hero Squad with an all-new storyline that follows Season 2 of the hit animated TV series as shown on Cartoon Network. Players can “Hero Up” with friends in cooperative play and master the unique Factor Power of each of the Marvel heroes in three game modes: Story Mode, Freeplay Mode and Challenge Mode. The game also boasts a brand new puzzle component, in which players will need to utilize the characters’ unique abilities to move or destroy objects, traverse through certain environments, and summon specific strengths to overcome obstacles. With new adventures, tricky puzzles, an expanded selection of Marvel Super Hero Squad members to unlock and play as, Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is set to thrill gamers from here to Super Hero City.

Owners of Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet (PS3/X360 only) can relive the adventure of the game – only this time it’s from the bad guys’ perspective as they battle their way out of the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier.

In THQ’s third DLC pack for the game, it’s time to play as arch-villains Dr. Doom and Abomination in the new level:   “Doom on the Loose.”   Adding to the marvelous mayhem, Dr. Doom and Abomination are now available as playable characters for the entire game.

Rounding out the update is a host of new Xbox 360 achievements and PlayStation Network trophies that add to the challenge of Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet!

“Doom on the Loose” is available for the suggested retail price of $4.99 on PS3 and 400 Microsoft points for the Xbox 360.
