In Shift 2: Unleashed, players’ hands sweat and ache as they clutch onto the controller, their pulse races from the break-neck speeds experienced through the first-person cockpit view. Shift 2 Unleashed pushes the envelope with the most authentic and intense racing experience in the genre. The world debut trailer of Shift 2 Unleashed was revealed today as bonus content for the action racing Need for Speed title, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

On June 30th, the DLC packs will be available to download, for free, from Origin.com. In case you missed it: the Legends Pack features a dozen cars and 5 new tracks from racing's golden age, and the Speedhunters Pack added two new game modes - Drag and Standing Mile - as well as 14 new vehicles to try against your friends for epic Autolog battles.

It’s known as racing’s golden age. The late 1960s and early 1970s featured a dramatic range of race cars known for their powerful engines, technical handling capabilities and dramatic car designs. Racing enthusiasts can experience the intensity of the driver’s battle in some of this era’s most iconic cars in the Shift 2: Unleashed Legends content pack.

The Legends pack also features five of the world’s most challenging classic race tracks including the historic Rouen-Les-Essarts. Once recognized as one of Europe's finest circuits, this classic track has now been restored to its former glory in Shift 2: Unleashed.

Legends pack contents:

The SHIFT 2 Unleashed Speedhunters content pack contains two new branches including Drag and Standing mile. Each branch features nine new events, where players will only be able to use the manual gear change so that they can really feel what it’s like to be in the driver’s seat. This means the traction control features will be forced off and the HUD will display a new rev counter and gear indicator. The difference between the two modes is simple – Drag judges the fastest time over a quarter mile stretch, and Standing Mile judges the fastest speed achieved over a mile stretch. Both branches allows for new high-power customization options where players can create 1000 horsepower engines capable of reaching speeds of over 250 mph.

To top it off, the Speedhunters content pack features two new cars – Chris Rado’s World Racing Pro-FWD Reaper Scion tC and Koz’s Dodge Viper GTS by Twins Turbo as well as 12 specially tuned Speedhunters vehicles available to compete in all disciplines.
