'MDK2 HD' Coming Next Month - Screens

MDK2 HD follows the antics of loveable janitor Kurt Hectic, mad-scientist-type Doc Hawkins and the gun-toting, six-legged, potty-trained mechanical dog, Max, as they attempt to thwart yet another alien invasion of Earth.

Players experience unique gameplay as each of the three characters, progressing through 10 wildly varied levels in this galaxy and beyond!

Developers involved in this zombie-like resurrection include a veritable cornucopia of BioWare veterans like Trent Oster, Cameron Tofer, Russ Rice and Sean Smailes, who were all heavily involved in the development of the original. Not content to just pump out an updated port, the team is also looking to fans of the original for a bit of feedback.

“MDK2 HD really is a labour of love for us. We’ve spent a lot of time improving the visuals and gameplay, and we can’t wait to see what people think!” said Trent Oster, President at Overhaul Games. “We still have a little bit of time until release, though, and we’d love for diehard fans of MDK2 to let us know what sort of improvements they’d like to see. We’re taking suggestions on our Facebook Page, and will do what we can to implement the most requested improvements.”

“MDK2 holds a special place in all our hearts – the team was really close (sometimes too close), and it was the first time many of us were able to create an action game at BioWare,” said Cameron Tofer, COO at Overhaul Games. “We think MDK2 HD has the sort of visuals, humor and great gameplay that can draw in not only existing fans of the game, but a brand new audience that just wasn’t able to experience its magic the first time around.”

With a visual overhaul that would make a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon wail with jealousy, as well as a wide range of gameplay tweaks and reworked audio, MDK 2 HD will launch exclusively via Beamdog.com for just $14.99.
