'Bright Shadow' Open Beta Launches Tomorrow

Bright Shadow is an MMORPG with cute, cartoon-like characters and novel monsters – known as “Umbra, and wile staying true to its Japapense roots, it will featured updated storylines, unique new items, and new systems for nearly endless character customization and imaginative new experiences.

For more than a century, the peaceful civilization of Luciena has known the mysterious properties of “Soul Power” – an entity that exists within every facet of the universe, in all sentient beings, that can be used for benevolence or manipulated for evil.  However, deep within the Umbra Realm, nefarious beings seek to use the Soul Power to enslave, oppress and kill others; believing death is the only path to unlocking its true potential.  After enduring countless attacks at the hands of the Umbra, the people of Luciena have dedicated themselves to the study of Soul Power to use it as a weapon against their enemies.  Now with the battle lines drawn, an epic war has begun, with total control of Soul Power hanging in the balance.

The open beta will be made available through Gamania’s beanfun! platform. This open beta will introduce the item shop and it is important to note that their will be no data-wipe. Servers will open tomorrow at 08:00 BST 09:00 CEST and 00:00 PDT.


To celebrate the opening of the Bright Shadow item shop, Gamania is giving away cool free in-game items via the Bright Shadow Memory Game that is playable on Facebook.

Players can play the game and challenge their friends, and if they are good enough to win, they can enter the item code in the item shop to claim their prize. Some of the prizes to be won are fireworks, special magical rain, titles, weapons, special pets and if players are really lucky, one of the available mounts.

This open beta introduces the item shop and we are looking forward to community feedback regarding the cool items we have in store. The Bright Shadow Memory game already allows people to check out some of these items for free!”

Players who want to participate in the open beta can do so by registering and downloading the client at the official Bright Shadow website.

Like all Gamepot games, Bright Shadow will be a 100% free-to-play experience with the option of purchasing “Pot Cash” for special in-game items further down the line.
