Canadian developer ODD1 has signed a license agreement with Travian Publishing covering a multiplayer browser based game, merging deep strategic gameplay, RPG and a truly innovative battle mode.

The promising product’s well-thought-through gaming principles are expected to appeal to core gamers, in particular. Now that both partners have reached an agreement, Travian Publishing will deal with all aspects of marketing, running and international expansion of the product, while ODD1 will concentrate on the game content and continuous improvement. With its international network, Travian Publishing reaches several million players all over the world, and the game's gripping and innovative design means that it will also reach new target groups.

ODD1 is counting on Munich-based Travian Publishing to use its range to ensure faster international expansion of its product. ODD1 CEO Francis Larose says, "Our team is definitely excited to work with such a major partner as Travian Publishing. We believe that their knowledge in both operating and marketing browser based MMO will help us achieve a truly great game, one set to live to high expectations". The Experimental Stream of the Canada Media Fund (CMF) is also recognizing ODD1 for its innovation by investing in the development of the game.

Travian Publishing CEO Florian Müller adds: "This our first third-party product developed by a studio on a different continent. The technical features, the promising gameplay and, not least, our Canadian partner’s extremely experienced and professional team completely convinced us that this project could land us a real hit! We would like to express our deep gratitude to ODD1 for the confidence that they have shown in us. This proves that our good work and reputation have spread, and developers from far beyond Europe are keen to work with us."
