'Take Arms' (X360) Squashes Multiplayer Bug, Re-Launches On XBL

by Rainier on Sept. 2, 2011 @ 12:56 p.m. PDT

Take Arms delivers fast, challenging gameplay for up to 8 players (three different classes) over Xbox Live or System Link with anime-style HD artwork.

Play as three different classes: the quick and light Striker equipped with a sniper rifle, the slow and heavy Destroyer equipped with a belt-fed machine gun, or the middle-ground Grunt with burst-fire assault rifle. Dominate three diverse locales (Bridge, Forest Complex, & Trainyard) and three game types (DM, TDM, & CTF). Practice in solo mode with bots that support multiple difficulty levels and all game types. Track your experience as you gain ranks and earn badges.

Just hours after release on August 29th, Discord made the difficult decision of pulling it from the Xbox Live Marketplace following reports of crashing in multiplayer matches. After some time back in the labs, the bug was squashed and the game is once again ready for public consumption. In the intervening period, you could say it has aged like a fine wine.

Discord plans to support the game and community long after release with 100% free content updates. Plans for new maps, game modes, and features (Awards, Survival Mode, Clan Support, etc.) are all in the works, along with suggestions from the community itself.

Take Arms is now available on Xbox Live Indie for just 240 MSP.
