Planet Zethos has fallen under the military control of Thau-Phi, a rogue Artificial Intelligence. The only hope of liberating it lies in the crew of the DST Horizon, an elite mercenary unit operating in the deep fringes of space.

Players control one of four members of the mercenary squad fighting against the haywire A.I. through 12 intense levels, controlling the hoverboard with the Wii Balance Board (optional) and using the Wii Zapper (optional) to aim and fire against the robotic army.

The hoverboard can be controlled either with a Wii Balance Board, allowing players to turn left and right to avoid enemy fire using their own bodies, or with the Wii Remote by tilting it left or right.

Each character carries two weapons, each with different rates of fire, damage and bullet spread and these weapons can be upgraded through use. Every time an enemy unit is destroyed, players are awarded points and experience points. Once enough experience points have been earned, the selected weapon grows in level up to four levels. Weapons decrease two levels every time players lose a life.

Points are awarded for each destroyed enemy and eliminating them in quick sequence grants players a “Combo” bonus score. Players can also multiply their score by eliminating enemies without receiving enemy impacts, guaranteeing that defensive play becomes as important as offensive action.

Features:

  • Wii Balance Board Powered Action: Turn your Wii Balance Board into a futuristic hover-board for a full motion controlled experience only possible on Nintendo Wii. *
  • Four Reckless Professionals of Destruction: Pick one of four riders, all of them too crazy to live and too tough to die, each with its own look, weapons and playstyle.
  • Insane Arcade Experience: A unique blend of high-speed racing and intense combat. Dash through exotic locations and fight back against endless waves of relentless robots.
Horizon Riders will available via WiiWare for 800 Wii Points.
