The Unknown Future Rolls Toward Us

by Rainier on Sept. 9, 2011 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

Day one of our New York city trip has passed, and it started off with quite a scare.

When we woke up this morning, we had no electricity, and when we tried to contact the person from whom we had rented the apartment (it was over 50% cheaper than a hotel), we could not reach him on his cell phone. Luckily, by the time we got back from sightseeing in the afternoon, everything was resolved.

In the evening, we had an outstanding dinner with friends and then watched Zarkana/Cirque du Soleil at the iconic Radio City Music Hall. It was quite impressive, although we could have done without the filler between acts.

Tomorrow we're going to check out the statue of Liberty and a few other hot spots, followed by more food and drinks!
