'Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse' (ALL) Shows Off Special Abilities - Screens

by Rainier on Nov. 16, 2012 @ 3:49 p.m. PST

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse will offer gamers an interactive Family Guy experience inspired by one of the most popular and notable episodes in the series’ history.

Family Guy follows the adventures of endearingly ignorant dad Peter Griffin and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders – wife Lois, daughter Meg, son Chris, baby Stewie and dog Brian – in Quahog, Rhode Island.

In Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, the characters in campaign mode, as well as in level challenges and multiplayer modes, have unique special abilities and weapons tying into the signature humor of Family Guy.

Some of the comically-twisted special abilities for a few of the characters include:

  • With his shameless personality, Peter farts to stun his enemies into a daze.
  • Gamers will say “giggity” with Quagmire’s “Shield of Love.”
  • Meg Griffin takes special abilities to a new level when she flashes enemies with her innie and outie.
  • As an added bonus available for purchase, Stewie’s best-friend and personal confidant, Rupert the teddy-bear, is now a destructive Rupert Turret that blasts enemies away.

Family Guy is one of the most-watched and influential shows of the last decade, reaching over 33.5 million viewers weekly in the U.S., and is the number one TV show on Facebook with more than 40 million ‘likes’.  In the U.S., the series is the number one TV franchise on DVD with more than 25 million copies sold.  The new console game from Fox and Activision intends to tap into the core components of the Family Guy spirit.
