'Krater' - 14 New Screens

by Rainier on Feb. 13, 2012 @ 5:45 a.m. PST

Krater is a lush post-apocalyptic top down RPG and the base pillars are crafting, exploration and consequence. Consequence brings not only the ability for the characters to level up and improve themselves, but also permanent injuries and death.

Descend into the Krater and experience a finely tuned top-down action RPG in a lush yet gritty post-apocalyptic setting. Krater features both single player and a co-op online campaign, set in a multi-faceted post-apocalyptic city located within a gigantic impact crater.

Lead your assembled team of hardened survivors, making your living as hired guns, trouble shooters and scavengers, in search for fame and fortune. The innovative control setup allows you to effectively command a party of three characters simultaneously.

Monitor and manage aggro and threat levels, boost and buff, deal damage and use crowd control abilities to ensure that your squad will triumph on the beautifully rendered battlegrounds.

Explore the crater city and its surroundings in search of new equipment and recruits, or launch yourself directly into the captivating single player story campaign. Manage your team by customizing your characters and the composition of your team. Enhance abilities and attributes gained through experience. Equip unique weapons and loot obtained by mastering grueling missions and defeating tough enemies.

A versatile crafting system further enables the player to experiment and come up with indivdual solutions to difficult challenges and develop a personal play style, ranging from fast paced and action oriented to brainy and tactically intricate. Since Krater caters toward a hardcore PC audience, the game features a mode where the player runs the risk of injuring or even losing team members permanently. The higher risk of this mode will be offset by the promise of better rewards. Do you dare to enter the Krater?
