Wednesday, March 7, 2012 Shipping Announcements

by Rainier on March 17, 2012 @ 4:00 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

I Am Alive (XBLA)

I Am Alive challenges players to strategically assess situations from a real-life perspective. In combat, players focus on intimidation and bluffing to gain the upper hand. Resources are scarce and an empty gun may be your only hope in a torn-down society.

Players enter Haventon one year after "The Event" — a mysterious cataclysmic disaster — and are challenged while traveling the environment. Using a stamina system, players manage their energy while scaling buildings. Those who use their stamina well gain access to areas with more resources.

I Am Alive is available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1,200 Microsoft points ($15).

Trine 2 (PSN) - Europe Only

As compensation for Trine 2's delayed European launch, the game's release is discounted approximately 30% for two weeks in the region. Moreover, Trine 2 is completely free for European PlayStation Plus subscribers for a limited time.

Trine 2 presents gamers with a fantasy world full of vibrant color and immersive liveliness. As either the powerful Knight, agile Thief, or crafty Wizard, players set out on a quest to save the world from a mysterious magic that has brought plants to life. Adventurers solve puzzles and defeat a variety of foes as they seek the source of their world's calamity. Trine 2 adds online support for three-player cooperative play, which allows three friends to team up through the single-player campaign.

Unit 13 (PSV)

Players join the ranks of Unit 13, a counter-terrorism squad deployed with only one objective: complete the mission. Missions focus on contemporary ripped-from-the-headlines scenarios, creating an authentic experience.

Missions are concise, intense, and non-linear, allowing for a variety of approaches depending on the player's style.
