Tuesday, April 10, 2012 Shipping Announcements

by Rainier on April 10, 2012 @ 3:00 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Legends of Atlantis: Exodus (PC)

In Legends of Atlantis: Exodus, players are transported to the mythic continent of Atlantis, which is on the verge of destruction. Clear obstructed paths, dig canals and caves, combat fearsome robbers and monsters, and find and accumulate necessary resources to free the entrapped residents.

Progress through five HD locations, with over 50 levels of time management gameplay and bonus levels. For an occasional change of pace, play colorful hidden object and match three minigames. Strategy is important because multiple missions in each level must be prioritized to complete everything within the allotted time.

Legends of Atlantis: Exodus is available on the Legacy Games web site for $6.95.

Naval War: Arctic Circle (PC)

An energy-starved world takes advantage of the melting ice caps and races to claim the bounty of the sea. Decide the fate of the world in two scenario-driven campaigns: play as either the NATO forces pulled together to combat a rising threat or as the Russian Navy, hungrily pushing out of her Northern bases to secure badly needed resources.

Naval War: Arctic Circle is available via retail and major digital distribution platforms for an MSRP of $19.99.

Out of the Park Baseball 2013 (PC)

OOTP lets players run a major league team from top to bottom, setting lineups and pitching rotations, determining defensive and offensive strategies, and making game-time decisions, such as when to steal a base or employ a hit-and-run.

Between games, players define scouting budgets, make trades, handle the amateur draft, scour the waiver wire, sign free agents, negotiate contract extensions, demote underperforming players to the minors and call up hot prospects, manage team finances, and more. Many tasks can be delegated to computer-controlled personnel, letting players focus on the aspects that appeal to them most.

OOTP features solo or online play, an historical mode featuring all seasons from 1871 through 2011, the ability to create custom leagues stocked with fictional players, a staggering set of league reports, and a realistic statistical engine based on modern baseball theory.

Pinball Arcade (PSV/PS3)

Pinball Arcade has four tables using an extremely accurate pinball physics engine. Black Hole, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Tales of the Arabian Nights and Theatre of Magic are available from within the game.

Each month, regular updates add classic pinball machines, online tournaments and additional modes to play on your own or competing against friends.

Pinball Arcade is trial to buy. It's free to download and limited play, but it costs $9.99 for the full game.
