Humans Must Answer is a classical 2D horizontal scrolling shooter with a lot of shooting and evading but with some additional features such as puzzle elements.

You play as the pilot on board a Scout ship called The Golden Eagle, which is manned by a crew of intelligent and dangerous chickens. After discovering the Solar System in which we humans reside, they attempt to establish contact but are surprised when the only answer is hostile.

So starts their explosive trip towards their goal, the Sun, along which they'll meet the peculiarities of this bizarre future and show no mercy to the fleets of humans and robots that dare stand in their way.

Humans Must Answer has an emphasis on evading dangers, hidden bonuses, epic boss fights and a deep upgrade and points system. Placing temporary turrets and experimenting with different weapons is a must to pass through the most dangerous planetary defences.

Please note that nothing is final in this demo and, in fact, we're already making a number of changes and additions based on feedback we've received thus far. We'd appreciate any comments and suggestions based on first impression of Humans Must Answer so that we can continue improving the game.

There are four levels in total, and a number of the story elements are missing - it will feel like you just jump in and won't know these characters. The main thing to concentrate on is the gameplay at this point, which is an element we're still tweaking and hope to be even smoother soon. This is the very basic elements of the game - you won't be combining weapons and you won't be able to gain access to many of them either.

We'd also like to point out that in the Shop screen you can see a penguin UFO fly past on occasion, this is actually from Starbound, which is a game our friends at Chucklefish are working on, and it's great! If you use select the Blast special as it flies past you can blow it up and gain some extra currency to spend.

Please also note that the difficulty that you select at the beginning will stick with you and you'll have to start a new game in order to change it. Another note: the game is supposed to be hard, as proper shmups are! Good luck!

Sumom Games currently has a Kickstarter campaign going to fund the development of Humans Must Answer, if you enjoy the demo give them a hand with a small donation.

Key Features:
