by Rainier on Dec. 9, 2014 @ 5:54 p.m. PST

Time travel back through gaming history and in Life of Pixel you will be on a journey exploring classic gaming machines with over 100 levels.

Whether you are the generation who remembers them the first time round, or the younger generation playing them for the first time, Life of Pixel on Nintendo’s Wii U™ is the game to discover and re-live those classic gaming machines.

In Life of Pixel on Wii U you will be able to explore 13 classic gaming machines with over 100 levels.  Your platforming skills will be challenged like never before! Warning though, Life of Pixel may find you saying things like ‘I saved for weeks to get this machine, back in the day!’, ‘Were games really this hard?’, ‘Games were only black and white?’ and ‘Old is gold!’ That is what Life of Pixel brings to Wii U, that classic gaming feeling, which will leave you warm in-side and wanting to discover more of that retro gaming joy.

“We have always wanted to bring Life of Pixel to Wii U, and now to be in a position to be able to do that is so exciting for us. As an indie, having Nintendo’s support to bring our game to Wii U is a wonderful experience.  We have added lots of Wii U exclusive content for fans to enjoy and explore, making this game appeal to all Wii U users” commented Claire Hill-Whittall, MD at Super Icon.

Life of Pixel is an epic platform adventure game, with challenging gameplay, fun characters, stunning 8 & 16-bit graphics and a lot of heart.  You will journey through video game history collecting the bit-gems and unlocking each amazing game machine. Collect the 'Specials' and unlock more! Chock-full of tricks & traps, double jump challenges, gravity inversion, special power-ups, puzzles you must vanquish the enemy pixels and bosses who try to thwart you throughout your quest.  Life of Pixel will show you the coolness of video gaming and the history of where it all began and how it evolved.
