The core development team behind the Unreal 3-powered, Steam-released space shooter, Sol: Exodus, has reunited under their new company, and their first game, Exodus of Sol, is a much improved version of their first attempt at re-invigorating the space shooter genre.
Players, once again, wage war across absolutely drop-dead gorgeous landmarks of our Solar System against the ultra-fanatical Children of Dawn. Exodus of Sol includes many fan-requested features including multiple pilot-able ships, all new missions, enhanced visuals, upgraded ship physics, new 3D radar system, ship energy management, and more!
“We’ve improved upon or added so many new features into the game that appending Enhanced Edition (or something similar) to the original name would be short-selling our new game. Plus, we think Exodus of Sol just sounds cooler!” said Christopher Stockman, BPG’s Founder and Studio Director. “We’re extremely excited to be working together again in a genre we all hold near and dear to our hearts.” adds Kinzie Schwab, Lead Programmer.
- New Missions: Wage war against the Children of Dawn in all new missions! Now featuring LESS ESCORT! :) Train around a never-before-discovered planet, survive a massive capital ship battle in deep space, bombard a fuel refinery, and so much more!
- Stunning Environments: Visit gorgeous landmarks in our Solar System including: Pluto and the Kuiper Belt, Neptune’s Moon Triton, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus, Titan, and more!
- More Pilot-able Ships: Pilot multiple ships – each with their own distinct look and feel. Our ships also feature new handling physics blending realism with accessibility, transfer energy between various ship subsystems, and even repair in mid-flight!
- Enhanced Audio: All new music designed to get your blood pumping during intense dogfights, new sound effects improve the overall aural feeling of the game, and new voiceover to accompany the new and improved missions!
To celebrate this joyous announcement the price of the original Steam version of Sol: Exodus has been reduced by 50% for the week of April 14!
Exodus of Sol will launch on Steam, PS4 and unannounced platforms at a TBD date.
