'Deadfall Adventures' (ALL) Coming To PS3 With Plenty Extras - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on July 11, 2014 @ 2:15 p.m. PDT

Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis is a thrilling and immersive action adventure that seamlessly combines the first-person shooter experience with puzzle-solving and exploration, taking players across the globe.

The year is 1938. James Lee Quatermain is a man of many talents, yet holding on to money isn't one of them. Quatermain isn't all too keen on escorting Jennifer Goodwin, a US agent and former colleague of his, to an Egyptian temple complex in order to retrieve an ancient artifact - The Heart of Atlantis. Neither does he believe in the reputed invigorating qualities of this artifact, nor does he care that a division of the Ahnenerbe, the Nazi department specialized in the occult, is after The Heart as well.

It’s an action-packed journey played out on a great scale as Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis puts you into the boots of James Lee Quatermain, the world’s premier treasure hunter with a knack for adventurer . . . and trouble!.  Head off into remote and inaccessible regions of the world in your quest to find lost riches and perhaps even rescue a damsel or two in distress from the clutches of enemies both earthly and not-so-earthly.  As the story unfolds, Quatermain finds himself enmeshed in a treasure hunt across the globe. From the stormy deserts of Egypt to the icy depths of the Arctic and all the way to the steaming jungles of Guatemala, our hero struggles to retrieve an ancient and cherished artifact - The Heart of Atlantis!

Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis features a unique adventure dynamic with a scintillating storyline full of puzzles and variety of missions sure to satisfy even the most demanding fans of adventure games.

Following the successful release of its predecessors, the PS3 version includes tons of new and exclusive content and significant gameplay improvements:

  • Fully upgraded gameplay and graphics;
  • New location and secrets to explore;
  • Exclusive Survival/Co-op DLC mode with two additional maps for PS3 owners;
  • New boss fights;
  • New cut-scenes and improved visuals of original ones;
  • Improved leveling system;
  • Completely new notepad system;
  • New flashlight burst attack;
  • And much more!
“’Deadfall Adventures’ was one our most ambitious project to date and although it was well-received by players, we wanted to ensure that the PS3™ version took the franchise to a higher level,” said Artur Falkowski, Producer at The Farm 51.  “We’re all fans of the adventure genre and we wanted Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis to be the kind of a game that we would play as fans, so in many ways it is a completely new game, not just new version. With exclusive content and new modes, we are pleased to introduce a great adventure game to PS3™ owners this summer”

But life has its ways of changing one's perspective. Quatermain soon finds himself part of a hunt across the globe - from the stormy deserts of Egypt to the icy depths of the Arctic and all the way to the steaming jungles of Guatemala.

In the long-forgotten temple complex, the thrill of the chase awakens the true adventurer in Quatermain, as he and Agent Goodwin strive to be one step ahead of the Nazis and the Russians, one step closer to obtaining the Heart of Atlantis. And deep in these temples, where age-old guardians awake from their eternal slumber, James soon learns that his great-grandfather's stories are not as crazy as he had always believed. For all things live forever, though at times they sleep and are forgotten.

Deadfall Adventures uses Unreal Engine 3 to produce one of the most jaw-dropping spectacles this generation has enjoyed, as players battle natural and not-so-natural enemies. Along the way, fiendish puzzles, deadly traps and stunning set pieces will make this one of the greatest adventures ever told – let alone played.
