'Lords of Xulima' Coming to Steam Early Access

by Rainier on Aug. 1, 2014 @ 4:31 p.m. PDT

Lords of Xulima is a 2D isometric, turn-based RPG featuring strategic gameplay where players will guide a party of six through an epic struggle between gods and men.

Lords of Xulima is inspired by classic, legendary sagas such as Ultima and Might & Magic but with a modern interface and enchanting visuals. Players will embark on an epic journey, where they can freely explore each unique region based on their own preferences and skill level. Combat is one of the fundamental pillars of Lords of Xulima, as there is an infinite amount of strategies against the 100 diverse creatures that inhabit Xulima.

A custom-made engine supports the isometric, detailed 2D backgrounds and 3D animations; a welcome modern touch to the familiar exploration and turn-based combat views. Craftsmanship and care are also invested in making the lore, weather effects and soundtrack contribute to the immersion as much as possible. On the interface side, navigating through your skills, equipment choices and other menus will be as simple and concise as possible, due to balanced item and class ability usage playing an essential role in the player’s success.

The Lords of Xulima Steam Early Access version will be launched at the end of the next week.

All kickstarter backers and pre-orders will receive their own Steam key to activate the game next week! The early version included about 50-60% of the game (about 50 hours of gameplay time). In the next weeks we will unlock the rest of the content, and as promised, the new class "Divine Summoner" and the special artifact, the Talisman of Golot

Lords of Xulima is now more polished and balanced than ever, all of your saved games will be compatible with the final version.
