'Metro Conflict' Sets Open Beta Date

by Rainier on June 5, 2015 @ 4:57 p.m. PDT

Metro Conflict brings high-intensity, near future warfare where players can storm the urban battlefield solo or with friends.

Set in the not too distant future, players will yield near-futuristic weapons while battling in metropolitan settings that could only be done justice by the Unreal Engine 3 that lies at the heart of Metro Conflict's stunning visuals. With 9 classes spanning offensive, defensive, and support roles, players will not only find their niche for death match action, but will also be able to tailor their play to push their squad to victory in team focused contests. A unique set of story missions fills out the feature list to give players a AAA shooter experience for...well, FREE!

The Metro Conflict beta period will begin on June 22nd starting at 4PM Pacific Time and will run for 1 full week to act as a server stress test and (assuming no critical issues) will be followed immediately by full release.

During the open beta period, there will be some small events held to encourage competition among players and their clans. Players will also be happy to hear that all progress made during the beta period will carry over into the full release, and as mentioned before, all players participating in the beta will receive a gold pixel-plated knife skin at full launch. Unfortunately, Metro Conflict will be exclusive to North American and European audiences to start off, but more servers are planned for the future, opening up the game to a much wider range of users.
