Rising Thunder brings a number of fresh ideas to the fighting game world including the next evolution of GGPO, the widely-embraced roll-back netcode for fighting games created by Tony Cannon, who is currently the CTO of Radiant Entertainment. Rising Thunder is also completely free to play, with the option to purchase cosmetic items coming sometime in the future. Most importantly for gamers, Rising Thunder enables players to execute one-button special moves, removing the long-standing barrier to entry for most fighting games.

New players can sign up to receive an invite to the technical alpha (which starts July 28) and reserve their user name by going to the official Rising Thunder website.
