'Assetto Corsa' (ALL) Porsche Pack Volume 1 Released on PC

by Rainier on Oct. 26, 2016 @ 2:52 p.m. PDT

Assetto Corsa is a racing game designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, with single player and multiplayer options, officially licensed cars and tracks developed using the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments.

Assetto Corsa is regarded as one of the most authentic racing simulators on the market. Aptly branded “Your Racing Simulator,” Assetto Corsa ups the simulation stakes by emphasizing and focusing on pure physics realism, with precision accuracy across every aspect from the meticulous car handling to the laser-measured tracks.

The standout stars of the game are of course the cars themselves; Assetto Corsa has partnered with the most prestigious automotive manufacturers to license life-like models of the genre’s biggest stars, from Ferrari to Fiat, from McLaren to Mercedes-Benz, and Automobili Lamborghini to Lotus Cars.

Players are able to further deepen their playing experience by adjusting the handling and race set-up of each and every car in-game, whereby cars can be individually tuned to cater for your personal racing style. The overall racing experience can be further modified by adjusting everything from driver attributes to collision damage, to deliver a thrilling and true racing experience. All of these features together breed the realism that Assetto Corsa is known and celebrated for.

The ‘Porsche Pack Volume 1’ introduces 7 of the most iconic Porsche cars ever created, offering a perfect mix between road cars, hypercars as well as modern and historic GT and racing models.

After more than 12 years away from the hardcore sim-racing world, the Porsche Brand finally comes to Assetto Corsa in a close and official partnership with the prestigious car manufacturer to release the first of three DLC packages that include the most iconic, authentic, awesome cars created during its glorious history! Porsche are working closely with Kunos Simulazioni to provide the most accurate Porsche virtual experience ever.

The pack contains the legendary Porsche 935/78 from 1978 – the most powerful 911 of all time. Named "Moby Dick" on account of its distinctive wide, long-tailed body - the six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine relied on two intercooled turbochargers increasing the displacement to 3,211 cm³ resulting in brute power of 845 hp.  Due to its continued dominance, Porsche withdrew from the long-distance World Championship in 1978, meaning that "Moby Dick" saw only a handful of outings.

Full list of cars in the Porsche Pack Volume 1:

  • Porsche 911 Carrera S
  • Porsche 918 Spyder
