'Iron Wings' Announced, Seeks Crowd Funding - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 21, 2016 @ 5:14 p.m. PST

Iron Wings is an intense World War 2 action-adventure air combat game.

In Iron Wings player takes on the role of the two pilots, Jack and Amelia, as they attempt to take down Nazi aerial menace across a rich campaign of missions, each with numerous objectives and enemies as well as side objectives. While fast paced action goes you will also have to consider some strategy, assigning your partner primary objectives to shoot down, in order to succeed.

Iron Wings is primarily an arcade game, a flying shooter, where shooting won't be enough, where each weapon or tool mounted on each of the two planes will have its role on completing each mission, and you'll have to deal with the decision on what to do and how to do it.

During flight, you will control both pilots and their plane, switching between them anytime you need, and assigning orders to the other one. Each of the two planes you will pick will carry different extra tools to be used during the mission.

Extra tools as Chaffs and Magnetron as radar countermeasures, Photo Camera to report detailed visuals of some objectives, Search Light to discover and focus targets on night scenarios and more to discover.

Wise choice of camouflages will also influence your visibility to enemies, and consequentially will help you avoid some damages.

Italian indie dev Naps Team has launched a kickstarter campaign, looking for $105,971, to finish up development on Iron Wings. The initial funding goal will be used for PC development with PS4/Xbox One versions as stretch goals.

Multiplayer is a very important aspect of flying shooter games and is an ambitious goal we would love to achieve, but it must be done properly. We plan to have a stretch goal for you that will allow us to build fun and solid multiplayer modes.

We are developing Iron Wings to run smoothly on average gaming PC and next-gen consoles. If you have a PC, hardware-wise similar to Xbox One or PS4, you should be able to run Iron Wings well as we are using internal technology that runs smoothly on both PS4 and Xbox One, as well as on PC.

Interested fans can also support the game on Steam Greenlight.

Iron Wings will be made available in Italian, German, French, and Spanish (with localized text, and audio subtitles).
