'The Elder Scrolls Online' (ALL) Celebrates New Life Festival With Double XP, Special Quests, and Rewards

by Rainier on Dec. 15, 2016 @ 9:39 a.m. PST

The Elder Scrolls Online is the first Elder Scrolls game to allow gamers to explore the legendary Elder Scrolls world with others.

Using ZeniMax Online’s Megaserver technology, players will join one connected world with a built in social network that lets them stay up-to-date with everything their friends are doing. Megaserver technology avoids the hassle of shard selection and makes The Elder Scrolls Online one of the most socially enabled games ever created.  Whether playing alone, or with hundreds of friends, players can develop their own style of play as they embark upon an epic quest across Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls Online kicks off an incredible end of year celebration across Tamriel, the New Life Festival, a special event filled with limited time quests taking players across the continent to obtain fun and festive rewards as well as a special mead that will allow players to earn Double XP. The New Life Festival is live now and will end on Wednesday, January 4 at 10am EST.

To partake in the festivities, players need to meet Breda outside Windhelm for their first quest, simply titled “The New Life Festival.” Once her requests are completed, players will have the opportunity to complete up to nine daily quests, each themed for Tamriel’s different races and located in their respective zones.  In addition, drinking Breda's Magnificent Mead (located in a keg near Breda) will net players double XP for two hours.

Upon completion of each quest, players will receive a New Life Gift Box containing a random assortment of New Life Festival-themed goodies. Each New Life Gift Box will always contain a random crafting material (Provisioning ingredient, Alchemy reagent, or Health glyph), a consumable version of a New Life-themed Memento, and a Skinchanger style item (Wolfsbane Incense). In addition, players will receive one of a set of special rewards, including a Skinchanger Motif chapter, a New Life recipe of either green, blue or gold-quality, or a special New Life Collectible, which includes a Memento, a Costume, or one of two hats

Players that complete all of the quests from Breda will receive additional rewards including a special new dye – New Life Cerulean – and the New Life Celebrant achievement. Completing all the New Life-related achievements will grant the “Magnanimous” title.

Also a quick reminder that entries for the “Trip of a Lifetime” Giveaway close December 16, so this is the last week for players to register to win one of five Grand Prize travel packages to awe-inspiring exotic destinations around the world, including air, accommodations and special excursions led by local guides. Entering is easy: players just need to log in and play The Elder Scrolls Online and then register on the web site.
