Battlefield: Hardline switches the franchise standard of military themed action for a more urban environment with the player taking part in a police-oriented adventure.

Battlefield Hardline puts players right in the middle of the war on crime in the gritty and glamorous streets of Los Angeles and Miami, allowing gamers to live out their fantasy of being a cop or a criminal.

Delivering an all-new canvas for the best-in-class first person action gameplay the Battlefield franchise is known for, Battlefield Hardline sees Visceral Games bring its critically-acclaimed single player storytelling pedigree to provide an engaging story in a setting reminiscent of modern TV crime dramas. In multiplayer, fans will feel the thrill of the heist or the satisfaction of the ultimate 6bust with new twists including new modes, weapons, vehicles and gadgets.

Battlefield Hardline, powered by the Frostbite 3 engine, lets players trigger jaw-dropping Levolution events as they shoot out subterranean grow-labs, blow open bank vaults, or tear apart the streets of Los Angeles. Introducing a new arsenal of guns and gadgets, including stun guns, zip lines, and grappling hooks, players take on a bold new level of strategy as both cops and criminals on every map. Maintaining the epic vehicular combat fans have come to expect from Battlefield, Battlefield Hardline ushers in a fast and fresh urban approach to vehicles with loot-laden getaway motorcycles and nimble police choppers to navigate sprawling skyscrapers.

A new Battlefield is coming later this year, and EA are celebrating by keeping the action going in Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. Over the next few months DICE be giving away previously released expansion packs for both games to anyone playing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Origin for PC, PS4, and PS3. There are also new Community Missions and a whole lot more to get excited about. Let's take a look at what's going on right now.

From May 3 to May 10, you can get Battlefield Hardline: Robbery for free. It's all about the Big Score: how to steal it, or how to stop it. Robbery's maps and game mode are designed to let criminal teams plan and execute the perfect heist; or, for law enforcement, to get the crooks in cuffs before they can pull it off.

Here’s what’s on deck in Battlefield Hardline: Robbery…

  • Four expansive maps: The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7
  • New 5v5 game mode: Squad Heist
  • 4 new weapons
  • 2 new gadgets
  • 2 new factional vehicles and new vehicle upgrades
  • New camos and vehicle paints
  • The Legendary Super Feature

From May 3 to May 10, you can get Battlefield 4 Dragon’s Teeth for free. Engage in intense urban battles across four dense Asian Pacific maps in this infantry-focused expansion.

Dragon’s Teeth drops players into four all-new maps that introduce unique environments and gameplay ranging from the bustling alleyways of Pearl Market to the floating restaurant in the middle of a lake in Sunken Dragon.

Dragon’s Teeth sees five new weapons making their Battlefield debut in addition to a new unlockable gadget, the Ballistic shield. Dragon’s Teeth also introduces a new game mode, Chain Link, a twist on the fan-favorite Conquest mode that sees squads battle to link capture points in order to achieve victory. Fans will also get ten new assignments with unique unlocks and a new Battle pickup in the R.A.W.R., a remote controlled ground vehicle armed to the teeth.

All this plus four new maps including:

  • Lumphini Garden: Cruise with fast-moving PWC’s on the canals in the pristine park to get the upper hand.
  • Pearl Market: Wage wars within the bustling alleyways and upon the rooftops of the marketplace.
  • Propaganda: Fight among massive despotic monuments in the grey concrete battleground.
  • Sunken Dragon: Battle between modern high rises as you wreak havoc in a floating restaurant or drain the lake opening up for a frontal vehicle assault.
