'Battlefield 4' (ALL) Second Assault DLC Free Until Next Week

by Rainier on June 22, 2016 @ 3:53 a.m. PDT

Powered By the Frostbite 3 engine, Battlefield 4 offers players a glimpse into that is more human, dramatic and believable than anything before it, where multiplayer game design elements are incorporated into the single-player campaign.

In single-player, gamers will experience huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles and the ability to direct squad mates. Taking a page from the social aspect of multiplayer gaming, the single-player mode will now track players’ progress, adding an element of persistence and friendly competition to the campaign.

The world is on the brink of chaos, China is the tinderbox and you and your squad are the inadvertent spark that could ignite a global conflict. This is Battlefield 4. As Sergeant Daniel Recker, you play as a member of an elite group of unlikely heroes known as Tombstone squad, navigating the turmoil around you as you fight to save the final hope for peace.

From June 21 to June 28, you can get Battlefield 4 Second Assault for free, featuring four of the most fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 3. Don’t wait too long, though, because you only have until June 28 to snag these throwback maps.

You’ll take a step back in time with Battlefield 4 Second Assault, featuring four fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 3 – Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm, reimagined with Frostbite 3 graphics and Battlefield 4 gameplay.

  • Four New Maps
    • Destroy the ceilings of the flooded Operation Metro. Bring down the communications tower of the new Caspian Border. Create flammable hazards on Operation Firestorm and dodge Gulf of Oman’s sand storm. Second Assault pushes the fan-favorites to their limits.
  • New and Familiar
    • With five weapons re-mastered for Battlefield 4, the return of the Dune Buggy vehicle, ten new assignments, and the Capture the Flag game mode, Second Assault combines familiar grounds with all-new features.
  • Caspian Border Reimagined
    • Caspian Border is a true Battlefield 4 classic, and in Second Assault the map has been redesigned with Frostbite 3 graphics, Levolution moments, and a breath-taking autumn setting.
