'Daymare: 1998' Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Sept. 12, 2016 @ 9:15 a.m. PDT

Daymare: 1998 is a hardcore survival horror experience inspired by the visual style and the atmosphere evoked by cult movies of the 1990s.

Developed in Unreal Engine 4, Daymare: 1998 is a third person survival horror game with over the shoulder camera. The game features high-end graphics, original soundtrack, immersive atmosphere, hardcore survival mechanics and many connections with the beloved old school survival horror games and '90s landmark brands.

Daymare: 1998 boasts the contribution of Capcom's former game artist Satoshi Nakai (Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil Code Veronica) who is currently working on the design of the deadly creatures that will haunt the game!

Key Features:

  • A multi-character "can't-stop-playing" storyline
  • Your favourite survival horror nightmares are back to haunt you! (Limited save points, anyone?)
  • Foes outnumber ammunition, you have been warned!
  • Tons of references to the '90s pop culture and horror movie hat-tips (and a lot of raccoons too...)
  • Original scary, creepy, thrilling, handmade soundtrack
