'TERA' Merging Servers Next Week

by Rainier on Sept. 2, 2016 @ 9:29 a.m. PDT

TERA is an MMORPG where you battle epic wars, protect your kingdom from demise, and brings you thrills never experienced before in traditional MMOs with its action-filled gameplay and riveting visuals.

TERA raises the bar, setting new standards in the gaming industry. It is a visually stunning world with graphic quality above all other games in the industry. You will experience a new ground-breaking gameplay system where stereotypes of traditional MMORPGs will be broken. You will have full control over the attacks and the fate of your enemy. No more "pointing and clicking" and playing combat relay with the enemies. Furthermore, not only do you control the action, TERA is also set in a world where the players will dictate the flow of the economy and individually impact the community environment.

In TERA, players master their destiny in a richly detailed game world with a pioneering dynamic combat system. Individual player actions can transform the balance of power in a world where old rivalries are erased, and disparate races must form a common federation to stave off destruction by marauding monsters and warring gods.

You become part of the realm of Arborea, created by the Ancient Gods. You defend your race in a fantasy world where your creators, descendents of the Ancient Gods, have warred upon each other centuries ago. Join forces and become part of a vast world in constant conflict, where new battles and weaponry skills will leave you grasping for more as you become immersed in the realm of Arborea. Take charge and become the hero the world seeks!

On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, En Masse will merge the Valley of Titans, Lake of Tears, and Highwatch servers into one new server: Fey Forest. We are initiating this merge to provide a better experience to players currently on these servers.

While you’re not required to do anything ahead of the merge (all characters and items will be merged automatically) there are some steps you can take in preparation to make the transition more seamless:

  1. Character slots on the new server will be limited to the highest amount of character slots you have unlocked on either Valley of Titans, Lake of Tears, or Highwatch. No characters will be deleted during the merge; however, after the merge is complete if you have more characters than character slots, you will need to delete characters until you have an amount equal to or less than your character slot limit. For your convenience, we strongly recommend deleting any extra characters before the merge.
  2. Characters on the affected servers that have been inactive since September 6, 2015 will be renamed at the time of the merge. This is being done to free up names on the new server. To retain a character's name, be sure to log in to inactive characters on these servers before midnight on Monday, September 5, 2016.
  3. In the case where two players share the same name on the new server following the merge, the character with the longer playtime will retain the name. The other character will be prompted to choose a new name before entering the server. You may want to plan a backup name or two in case you need to choose a new name.
