'ARC Continuum' Comes to Steam Early Access

ARC Continuum is a third-person, action-adventure game where you take on the role of a wanted man caught up in a desperate race against time.

ARC Continuum is an action/adventure game set on a new sci-fi world rich with ancient history that has been violently occupied by the vicious alien Kasaar race. You take on the role of Hadrian, a regular Taraanian, who is trying to get by until a mysterious time traveler sets in motion a series of events that will change his life, and the planet's future forever.

Granted the ARC, a device of near godlike power, you gain control over time itself, granting you fantastical powers to slow, rewind or manipulate the flow of time. Alter the fabric of time and summon other versions of yourself from different timelines for multiplayer cooperative fights. Wield these powers against the Kasaar, the brutal conquerors who have enslaved your home world of Taraan.

Akimbo Creations announced that ARC Continuum will be coming to Steam Early Access on January 31st for $5.99.

In an intense tale of betrayal, intrigue and revolution: you play as a galactic bounty hunter turned freedom fighter marooned on the remote desert planet of Taraan. Hunted for your secret knowledge of the ARC, located in an ancient underground city. You must use its extraordinary powers to control time to fulfill your destiny and lead the people of Taraan to victory against their tyrannical Kasaar overlords. A race of merciless galactic conquerors who would rather see Taraan destroyed than allow its people to regain control of the ARC.

In ARC Continuum, parts of the Taraanian world are in time flux. These localized disturbances are the results of the experimentation in time technology. With the disruption in time, you have the opportunity to jump to alternate timelines where you can request help from other versions of yourself and complete cooperative multiplayer time objectives.

ARC Continuum draws inspiration from games like Prince of Persia, Deus Ex, Infamous and Dishonored with more of a sci-fi focus. We felt there haven’t been many third person games that allow players to manipulate time since Prince of Persia, and it is something we really enjoyed and wanted to explore thoroughly in ARC Continuum.
