'Battlerite' Early Access Update Adds Battlegrounds Mode - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 24, 2017 @ 7:55 a.m. PDT

Battlerite is an action-packed Team Arena Brawler focused on competitive PvP combat.

Players can choose from fifteen champions, battle in seven epic arenas and showcase their most bad-ass plays using the recently implemented video-replay feature, The Odeum.

Experience the explosive combination of a top-down shooter with a fast paced fighting game, played in quick 2v2 and 3v3 matches. Dodge bullets and pull off deadly combos with the use of good old WASD movement & cursor based aiming. Battlerite is about skill-shots, teamplay and fast reactions.

Engage in adrenaline-fueled 10-15 minute battles with a powerful competitive feeling that will enthrall any player who enjoys getting good. It doesn't matter if you are a veteran or a rookie on a rampage, all champions have the same fighting chance. Battle side by side with teammates to the sound of the roaring crowd in vibrant, colosseum-style surroundings. This is the purest form of PvP arena fighting.

Battlegrounds is an objective-based 3v3 mode where players can easily jump in for quick bursts of fun. The matches are split into two parts: starting with the event phase where players fight to secure or complete objectives, and then leading to an ‘assault/defend’ phase where one team attacks and the other team defends. Victory is won by destroying the enemy’s Guardian.

Battlegrounds introduces a number of new mechanics as well as some refined mechanics previously used in brawls such as Respawn, Capture Points, NPCs and Balloons, Power Shards, a Minimap function, an in-game level system, Brush, and Guardians. The new patch also includes a shiny new UI and a new Battlerite system which let players customize and choose Battlerites before the match and enter the fray, with all Battlerites active from the start of the battle.

Featuring quick and intense, highly competitive, rip-roaring 2v2 and 3v3 battles, Battlerite has already attracted over 1 million players in Early Access on Steam.

Battlerite will be available on PC starting Nov. 8, 2017, with the Xbox One version scheduled for 2018.
