'Unavowed' - New Screen & Trailer

by Rainier on Dec. 6, 2017 @ 1:43 p.m. PST

In this urban fantasy adventure dark forces are hell-bent on destroying New York City, and it's up to the Unavowed to keep the evil in check.

One year ago, a demon possessed you; forcing you to tear a trail of bloodshed through New York City. Your salvation finally comes in the form of the Unavowed – an ancient society dedicated to stopping evil.

You are free, but your world is in tatters. You have no home, no friends, and are wanted by the police. Your old life is gone, but perhaps you can start a new one. Join the ranks of the Unavowed, and fight against the oncoming darkness.

For centuries this supernatural squad has quietly protected humanity by driving hungry demons back into the shadows. But something has changed. Their age-old methods are no longer working. New blood is required to protect the mundane world from a threat stronger than any these crime fighters have faced -- and that's where you come in.

Taking inspiration from story-heavy RPGs like Dragon Age while staying true to Wadjet Eye's point-and-click roots, Unavowed is an ambitious evolution for the developer of the Blackwell mystery series and publisher of Gemini Rue, Technobabylon, and other acclaimed indie adventures.

Key Features:

  • Make decisions about the player character's gender and background that influence the storyline.
  • Build a party from four secondary characters whose unique skills change puzzle solutions.
  • Feast your eyes on gorgeously gritty pixel art graphics with double the pixels of any previous Wadjet Eye game. (That's right, we're talking 640x360 resolution! The future is now!)

Unavowed is coming to PC in 2018
