'Trove' (ALL) Gets PS4 And Xbox One Date

by Rainier on March 1, 2017 @ 1:56 p.m. PST

Trove is an open-ended voxel adventure through countless realms filled with quests, chests, and enemies great and small.

Explore and create your way through fully buildable/destructible worlds where your next discovery is always around the corner, under the surface, or over the crafting table.

The project started with a feeling: make a game that evokes the sense you get when you first step into a brand new world and begin to explore. Trove’s dynamically generated worlds are fully constructible and destructible, giving gamers an endless universe of worlds where they can adventure, create, and explore.

Trove brings players into a universe of endless possibilities where role-playing and crafting collide, opening the development cycle and allowing everything in the game to be made by the community. Trove pushes the boundaries of community-created content, giving players the power to explore, craft and create adventures in procedurally generated worlds that are fully buildable and destructible. Traverse through unlimited dungeon variations, discover a limitless supply of loot, or harvest resources to craft a variety of useful and powerful items - Trove combines adventure, creation, and destruction in an endless universe of voxel worlds.

Trion Worlds’ voxel building adventure Trove will officially launch on PS4 and Xbox One starting March 14, 2017.

Currently in Open Beta, Trove has already been played by nearly four million console players, and is near the top of the Most Played and Top Free games charts on the Xbox One. During their adventures through dynamic worlds and dungeons, Trove’s industrious console players have also placed more than one billion blocks in the Trove world, while destroying more than 5 billion!

"As Trion's first next-gen console title, Trove is already dominating the Free to Play charts, with official launch still a couple of weeks away," said Scott Hartsman, CEO of Trion Worlds. "We've always believed that Trove could be the ideal MMO experience on consoles, and we're thrilled to see so many Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players jumping into the game."

Trovians who make a purchase of any kind during Open Beta will also unlock Disaeon the Immortal, the legendary dragon.  To celebrate surpassing 1.5 million players on each console during during Open Beta, Trion is also giving away rare mounts (Trovian Tumbler for Xbox One, Chromatic Cumulus on PS4) to anyone who joins the Open Beta. All progress from Open Beta will also carry into the full game launch.
