'The Golf Club 2' (ALL) Details Career Mode And Online Societies - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 6, 2017 @ 11:26 a.m. PDT

Aiming to build the strongest, most accessible golf game so far, The Golf Club 2 offers multiplayer features, a new Career mode, and limitless customization, allowing players to rise to fame in a vibrant, virtual golfing community.

Build your reputation as a golfer by progressing through a series of golfing societies. The Golf Club 2 offers hundreds of hours of interactive golfing with online opponents, a robust online multiplayer mode, a highly detailed course creator, cutting-edge swing mechanics, and stunning visuals.

Players will have the power to create their very own courses, with advanced atmospheric effects, dynamic lighting, reflections, props and a host of brand new, lush environments – all blending together seamlessly to create your dream golf course. Outfit your golfer with a wide selection of apparel to craft your ideal golfing avatar…even brand your own guild logo so you’re constantly represented!

Now with a progression-based Career Mode, the addition of Societies, and improved Course Creator, The Golf Club 2 replicates a compelling and authentic experience of being on the green. Alongside these giant improvements to the game, The Golf Club 2 scores big with a host of new environments, cutting-edge swing mechanics, limitless customization options and dynamic online tournaments.

Responding to the request of The Golf Club community, the developers have now built out a series of tournaments players must advance through in Career Mode to move up in status. As you progress through your season, your competition grows with you, pushing you to improve your game. Career earnings from each event and season give you the freedom to purchase clothing and accessories for your golfer, along with membership dues to Societies.

Players will now be able to create their own online Society or join a pre-existing one. While you can be part of more than one Society, one of them will be your Primary Membership. You'll represent your Society in all events you play, climbing your way to the top of Team Leaderboards and upgrading your clubhouse as you progress.

The Course Creator, a signature feature that HB Studios is committed to perfecting in each of its titles, also sees vast improvement in this upcoming sequel, with more creative freedom to build the ideal course to suit any player’s style. Fans of the first installment can either start fresh or upgrade a previous masterpiece from The Golf Club. Included in the new additions to the Course Creator are: tournament dressings with media stands, crowd placement, multi-level water features, and more.

Today’s trailer for The Golf Club 2 spotlights two features being introduced as a direct result of fan feedback The Golf Club – a single player Career Mode as well as online Societies. Continuing their drive for a more realistic and authentic golf experience, players will now be able to climb the ranks to the upper echelons of elite golf clubs in Career Mode. Players begin their journey at small, local links and must hone their skills in these small competitions to earn their way into finer, more prestigious clubs and challenging tournaments.

Societies will form the backbone of both Career Mode and general competition in The Golf Club 2. Players can create and run their own multiplayer societies with their friends, or join existing Societies that fit their skill level and playstyle. Once created, the owner of a Society can customize their clubhouse, Society logo, and more in order to create and display their own unique identities online. While players may join up to five different Societies at once, they may only have one ‘primary’ Society that they will represent and compete for at a time. Individual players can represent their Society by hosting online tournaments, where Societies will buy in to compete for prize pools. Winning these tournaments rewards players with in-game currency that can be used to improve clubhouses and host larger, more challenging tournaments to see which Society has the skills to rise to the top.

Expanding upon the popular Course Editor feature from The Golf Club, over 150,000 user-generated courses from the inaugural title can all be imported by their original creators into The Golf Club 2. These courses can then be played immediately online, or creators can use the enhanced features and tools of the improved Course Editor to create more authentic tournament experiences by including additional details to courses, dynamic crowds of spectators and more.

The Golf Club 2 aims to hit a hole in one with its huge community of players, as well as newcomers to the franchise.
