'Gravel' (ALL) Pre-Order Gets You Free Porsche Rallye Pack - Trailer

by Rainier on Jan. 11, 2018 @ 5:04 p.m. PST

Gravel is an off-road challenge where you explore exotic locations, drive iconic vehicles in extreme conditions, defy the champions, and become the ultimate Offroad Master.

Gravel will offer an experience unique to its kind: Milestone’s pedigree in simulation is valued here with physics grounded in reality, but fun will be the main focus, among wild drifting on the different terrains, crazy jumps and impossible maneuvers.

Celebrate off-road racing by taking you to exotic locations around the world with some of the most exciting vehicles ever created. The variety of powerful vehicles, from trophy trucks to rally legends, will offer many different approaches to the driving experience, and the wide offer of environments will have you strapped in for an unforgettable world tour.

Unleashing the full power of Unreal Engine 4, Gravel bestows each location with an unprecedented level of detail and makes the competition fun for everyone: photo realistic graphics, dynamic time of day and weather system, accessible physics that can be enjoyed by everybody, breath-taking locations where the player can race at full speed rushing through forests, snowy mountains, dunes, deserts, impressive lighting and particle effects.

Furthermore, thanks to its technical features, Gravel will offer wide open maps and believable physics, although the driving experience will be oriented towards a pure fun approach.

Among deserts, jungles and snowy mountains you will have to shine in each and every discipline, whether it’s the wide open maps of the Cross Country or the narrow tracks of the Speed Cross. Become the ultimate Master or take part in some wild competition in the online game modes: Gravel will always have some fun ready for you!

With the pre-order on digital stores and selected retailers starting in the upcoming weeks, players will be given the exclusive opportunity to get the DLC Porsche Rallye Pack for free, which includes the Porsche 924 GTS Rallye, two official liveries taken from the 1981 and 1982 official events, the Porsche 959 Rallye and the 1986 official livery.

The Porsche Rallye Pack aims to give all Porsche enthusiasts the adrenaline of driving in the wildest locations around the world with their favorite Porsche lightning: the 924 GTS and the 959 Rallye, in fact, will join the 911 RSR Rallye and the Cayenne Transsyberia, already available in the game. The two cars included in the DLC not only are among the most recognized sport cars of all times, but have also made their mark in the world of Rally racing, being driven by Rallye’s legendary pilots during legendary races around the world.

Porsche 924 GTS made history in 1981, when legendary rallye driver Walter Röhrl made a strong appearance at the German Rallye Championship with a Porsche 924 GTS, gaining a second place in the very first race with this car.

Porsche 959, produced in 1986, was the most technologically advanced sports car of its times. To put the technology demonstrator through its paces, it was entered in the toughest rally in the world: the Paris-Dakar, the famous Rallye race which crosses Africa’s deserts and savannahs for 13,800 kilometers. The all-wheel-drive 959 coped effortlessly with the wide-ranging conditions, gaining two thirds of the podium with René Metge and Dominique Lemoyne arriving at first position, followed by Jacky Ickx and Claude Brasseur in the second one. A third 959, only really intended as a support vehicle, finished the race in sixth place.

Gravel's career mode is developed around the Off-Road Masters, the annual TV show where the best riders in the world compete in races all over the planet, organized by the Gravel Channel, the extreme sports TV channel completely dedicated to off-roading.

The show’s season includes episodes which are made up of one or more races. Each competition is part of a specific discipline: the players will fight against the champion of that discipline, the so-called Off-Road Master, while they proceed in the career. Four champions for four disciplines, Cross Country, Wild Rush, Speed Cross and Stadium Circuit, and each champion mirrors the spirit of their discipline. Players will have to fight to defeat the Off-Road Masters and win their titles. Once the championship is over, players can take part in a definitive challenge to beat the reigning Off-Road Master of all disciplines in the Final League.

There are four disciplines included in the new Milestone IP which promise to take the player into an adrenaline-fueled combination of petrol and dirt:

  • Wild Rush, combative races in wild locations
  • Cross Country, with open maps to explore or to conquer until the last checkpoint
  • Speed Cross, real tracks and races without holding anything back
  • Stadium Circuit, with arenas and spectacular jumps

Become the Master in four exciting disciplines and be part of the greatest off-road competition ever seen, Offroad Masters: will you be able to #StealTheShow?

Many other on and off-line game modes will form an integral part of Gravel and will be announced in the coming weeks.

The game will revolve around the Gravel Channel, which presents the Offroad Masters format, an annual television program that will accompany the player on their way to fame and glory. Through challenges and events that are dedicated to every one of the in-game disciplines, the skilled driver must reach the Final League and challenge the champion from the previous edition, attempting to be crowned as the new Offroad Master. The route will be strewn with increasingly difficult challenges, but also with discipline specialists, real Masters, who will put even the most experienced players to the test.

Gravel will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC, starting February 27th 2018.
