'Move or Die' (ALL) Celebrates 2 Year Anniversary with New Update

by Rainier on Jan. 22, 2018 @ 1:39 p.m. PST

Move or Die is a fast-paced, 4-player local and online party game where the mechanics change every 20 seconds, the very definition of a perfect friendship-ruining game.

Gamers will never find a more delightful method of destroying friendships on their couch and online with Move or Die’s addictive gameplay, fast-paced intuitive control mechanics, and wealth of game options including fifteen Mutators, eight game announcers, and over twenty different characters including Shovel Knight. With new console features planned including team play, Move or Die is the very definition of a perfect friendship-ruining game.

Move or Die is not just the title of the game, but a fundamental gameplay rule: gamers who fail to move will see their health bar diminish rapidly. Players will battle each other in an ever-growing list of mini-game modes that change every 20-30 seconds. Each challenge has its own outrageous level design and rule set to promote hours of laughter and good old friendship-destroying fun. Win battles and unlock insane new character skins, Mutator game modifiers that dramatically change how mini-games are played, and even crazier game modes. When gamers are done beating friends on the couch, jump online and challenge other players to see who will rage-quit first.

For two years, Move or Die fans have been busy - with over 500,000 gamers destroying friendships over a span of 2.6 million games played, few games capture the mayhem of the indie multiplayer delight.

To celebrate two years of friendship ruining entertainment, Move or Die has launched the ‘2 Year Anniversary Update’ available now on Steam. The free DLC builds upon the ‘Not-A-Store’ feature from the ‘Green and Gold Update,’ with the debut of new Consumables that unlock decorative effects on players including, Money Confetti, Flammable Head, Snow, and more.

Key Features:

  • 4-Player Local/Online Multiplayer and Offline Practice Modes: Play as one of several outrageous characters on the couch with friends, online against people from around the world or battle devious bots offline.
  • Game Modes Galore: Choose from a huge and always increasing variety of hilarious game modes like Jump Shot, Chainsaw Backstab and Rocket Run, each with their own unique mechanics and level design.
  • Easy-to-Learn, Fast-Paced Fun: Move or die...literally. With not moving resulting in your character exploding and only 20 seconds per round, Move or Die is quick to pick up and incredibly fast-paced.
  • Leveling-Up System: Acquire crazy skins for your character and unlock new game modes as you squash your opponents online.
  • Daily Challenges and Missions: Work your way up the leader board and earn bonus XP by completing challenges and missions that change every 24 hours.
  • Regular Content Updates: New content, including game modes, characters and new features will be added on a regular basis to keep Move or Die’s friendship-ruining-o-meter high.
  • MOD Friendly and DRM Free: Build your own characters, game modes, mechanics, levels, soundtracks and more. Includes Steam Workshop support, as well as a super user-friendly level editor.
  • DLC Free...Always: Everything in the game can be unlocked for free, no paywalls. No bull$#%&. Period.
  • Striking Graphics and a Killer Soundtrack: Get your blood pumping with vibrant 2D graphics, as well as a heart-thumping soundtrack by Jacob Lincke. Check it out on Bandcamp!
  • Controller and Keyboard Supportl: Play with one or 4 controllers, a keyboard, a DDR pad...or...the guitar and drums from Guitar Hero. Your choice. Although, we recommend a controller :D

Move or Die is available now on Steam for $14.99 and will launch on consoles in 2017.
